Vietnamese property magnate Truong My Lan has been handed a death sentence for a massive fraud scheme, involving billions of dollars. Lan, the chair of Van Thinh Phat, was found guilty of siphoning funds from Saigon Commercial Bank (SCB) over a ten-year period. This case, one of the largest fraud scandals in the country, totaled a staggering 12.5 billion dollars.
